Sciatic Pain Relief Tips for Travelers
Sciatic Pain Shouldn't Stop You From Traveling...
Has your sciatic pain prevented you from taking that vacation or that weekend get
away? Sciatic pain is frustrating and is often easier to deal with when you are in the comfort of your own home.
Let's be honest there is no bed like your own.
That doesn't mean your sciatic pain should prevent you from hopping on a plane or going on a
road trip. Here are a few helpful tips that will enable you to manage your sciatic pain when you are not at
home.
Stretch, Stretch, Stretch.
If you have seen me at an airport, you have likely seen a guy in a full out lunge stretch
right in the terminal area. Do people stare? YES. Do I care? NO. If I'm going to be sitting in one, uncomfortable
spot for the next few hours, you can bet I'm going to stretch.
Do not be afraid to get up while you are on the plane. So what of the people sitting next to
you get annoyed. They will get over it.
Choosing the Right Hotel
This is going to hurt a little, but it's for your own good... Don't be cheap when it comes to
the hotel. Typically, the nicer the hotel, the nicer the bed and mattress. If your sciatic pain is bothering you,
spend the extra 50 or 100 bucks per night and get a better night sleep. Besides, the nicer hotel just might have on
site massage or a hot tub at least.
Remember, book your hotels in advance. If you wait till the last minute, you will get last
minute prices.
Sneak in Some Exercise
Just because you are out of town, doesn't give you an excuse to sit around and watch Golden
Girls reruns. Your in a new city, for crying out loud, go find a park or check out a local tourist spot. Do a
google map search of the city where you are going, and see what's nearby. Make a plan and you are likely to follow
thru.
You can also search personal trainers in the area and sneak in a session while your away. Be
sure to mention to the trainer that you are suffering from sciatic pain so they can cater the workout to
you.
I hope you have found these sciatic pain relief tips very useful. Don't let your
sciatic pain stop you from living life to the fullest.
